As a Fundraising Assistant Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting the fundraising efforts of our church by assisting with various tasks and activities related to donor relations, event planning, and administrative support. You will work closely with our Fundraising Director and other volunteers to ensure the success of fundraising campaigns and events.

Responsibilities:
  1. Donor Communications: Assist with donor outreach and communication, including drafting thank-you letters, emails, and other correspondence to acknowledge donations and express appreciation to supporters.
  2. Database Management: Help maintain accurate donor records and databases, including updating contact information, recording donations, and generating reports as needed.
  3. Event Support: Provide logistical support for fundraising events and activities, including venue research, RSVP tracking, coordinating event materials, and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed.
  4. Research and Prospecting: Conduct research on potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities, compiling relevant information and assisting in the development of donor cultivation strategies.
  5. Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks related to fundraising, such as data entry, filing, and organization of fundraising materials and supplies.
  6. Volunteer Coordination: Assist in recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to support fundraising initiatives and events, ensuring that they have the necessary information and resources to contribute effectively.

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor in interactions with donors, volunteers, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database management systems (experience with donor databases such as DonorPerfect or Salesforce is a plus).
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn, with a commitment to supporting the mission and values of our church.
  • Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit administration is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to contribute to our fundraising efforts.
