As a Fundraising Director Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting the mission and programs of our church by developing and implementing fundraising strategies to generate financial support. You will work closely with our leadership team and volunteers to identify funding opportunities, cultivate donor relationships, and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies aligned with the goals and priorities of our church, including annual giving campaigns, major donor cultivation, grant writing, and special events.
- Donor Cultivation: Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, supporters, and stakeholders, ensuring timely and personalized communication to acknowledge their contributions and keep them engaged with our mission.
- Grant Writing and Research: Identify potential grant opportunities and prepare compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding for specific programs and initiatives.
- Fundraising Events: Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events and activities, such as galas, auctions, and charity drives, to generate revenue and increase awareness of our church and its programs.
- Budget Oversight: Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage fundraising budgets, track expenses, and ensure responsible stewardship of funds raised.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist with fundraising activities, ensuring that they have the resources and guidance needed to contribute effectively.
Qualifications:
- Strong fundraising experience, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and initiatives.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.
